Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will feature the most extensive and diverse radio lineup in the franchise's history. The developer is building anticipation by offering fans a preview of several stations that will accompany players throughout the game.
The game will include a wide array of genres, including classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, 80s hits, electro, blues, and ballads. Additionally, players can access new radio shows and on-demand podcasts.
A significant gameplay change allows players to listen to these stations while on foot, utilizing headphones connected to their in-game smartphones. While the soundtrack's dynamic nature is highlighted, it remains unclear if radio dialogue and podcasts will feature French subtitles.
Six stations have been detailed, including the Latin-focused Cocoteo FM, the country-themed Back Country Radio, and the metal-heavy The Chamber 106.6. Other confirmed stations include AfroBank FM, the pop-centric Flash FM, and the hip-hop station Dirty South Classics.
