Xbox strategy director Matthew Ball refuted claims that GTA 6 will feature exclusive cloud streaming on Xbox Cloud Gaming or provide PC access via the platform, following speculation sparked by a report from The Verge.
The speculation originated after The Verge referenced an internal Xbox meeting where CEO Asha Sharma mentioned unique plans regarding GTA 6, which media reports linked to potential streaming rights that could bring the game to other devices and PC.
Addressing the coverage, Ball clarified that company plans were misinterpreted, stating the title arrives on Xbox consoles on 19 November, but will lack exclusive Microsoft cloud streaming and will not be playable on PC through the service.
Ball restricted his comments to denying streaming exclusivity and PC availability, leaving it unaddressed whether the title will appear on Xbox Cloud Gaming for consoles, while Rockstar Games has only confirmed launches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
