Key information
Grand Theft Auto 6 may become the first game in the series to intentionally feature actual sex scenes. This suggestion stems from age-rating descriptions on the New Zealand and Australian versions of the PlayStation Store, which explicitly state that there are "sex scenes" in the game.
While previous titles have included risqué encounters with sex workers, off-camera intimacy, or brief obscured glimpses, past games have never purposely featured full-on sexual intercourse. The only exception was the infamous Hot Coffee scandal in GTA: San Andreas, which involved a hidden mini-game reinstated by a mod after Rockstar pulled it prior to release.
IGN spotted these store descriptions, though they are not yet separately searchable on the relevant ratings boards' websites despite displaying logos for the ESRB, PEGI, and the Australian Ratings Board. Additionally, the UK PlayStation Store listing includes a "sex" symbol and mentions "sexual content," putting it in line with games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
The narrative of GTA 6 focuses on a couple, Jason and Lucia, whose romantic connection is central to the story. An official GTA 6 trailer also appears to tease the beginning of a sex scene around the one-minute-and-12-second mark. Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to release on 19th November.
