Key information

Limbus Company, a management simulation and turn-based RPG from Project Moon, features a mysterious location known as the Grand Magasin Sisyphe. Introduced in Canto X: The Gaze Bearing, this giant shopping mall exists outside the physical world, accessible primarily through the Sisyphe Penalty, a death sentence where a victim's consciousness is trapped indefinitely.

The mall operates on forced autotelic consumerism, where residents spend a currency called Eyeballs to access different floors, creating rigid social hierarchies. Merchandise sold within the facility is derived from human organs. The environment is governed by entities known as Giants, who manipulate patrons through a voice-based system to cultivate loyal followers.

Following the death of the Giant Ibu Meursault, the facility's structure destabilized, leading to the recruitment of Carmen as a new Giant and the emergence of the Les Néants faction. The mall's architecture is not static; it undergoes seasonal changes determined by an entity called The Architect, shifting between forms like caves, aquariums, or courtrooms.

The game, available on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, integrates this location into its narrative as Sinner Meursault faces the Sisyphe Penalty. Faust orchestrates a rescue mission involving the Nine Literatures to retrieve a Golden Bough hidden within this virtual shopping complex.
