Key information

The animated series based on Ghost of Tsushima: Legends has been delayed. Originally slated for a 2027 release, the project is now expected to debut in 2028, as announced during New York Comic-Con.

The series is produced by studio Kamikaze Douga in collaboration with PlayStation Productions and Crunchyroll. Directed by Takanobu Mizuno and co-written by Gen Urobuchi, the show adapts the game's multiplayer mode, which focuses on warriors battling demons inspired by Japanese folklore.

To accompany the announcement, Crunchyroll revealed additional production details. The voice cast includes Mayumi Saco, who reprises her role as the archer Tomoe, and Shinya Fukumatsu. The production team also features composer Kenji Inai, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, sound effects artist Yasumasa Koyama, and calligrapher Gyousyou Suzuki.

Separately, director Chad Stahelski continues work on a live-action film centered on Jin Sakai. However, progress remains tied to his ongoing commitments, including the post-production and distribution of his Highlander reboot.
