Key information

Crunchyroll, HAYATE, and PlayStation Productions announced an updated global release window for the Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime adaptation during the 2026 New York Comic Con. The project is now slated for a 2028 debut, shifting from its previous target of 2027.

While no specific justification for the scheduling change was provided, the production team confirmed new casting information. Gen Urobuchi remains attached to the script, and the project will feature voice actors Mayumi Saco and Shinya Fukumatsu. Saco previously portrayed Tomoe in the original game, suggesting a potential reprisal of that character.

The event also highlighted other upcoming game-to-anime projects, specifically confirming that the eight-episode series Sekiro: No Defeat is scheduled to stream on Crunchyroll in January 2027. This production involves collaboration between KADOKAWA, Qzil.la, and ARCH.

Beyond anime news, Crunchyroll expanded its Game Vault offerings. Subscribers on Mega and Ultimate Fan tiers can currently access Streets of Rage 4 on mobile platforms, with The Witch’s Bakery also confirmed for future inclusion on Android and iOS.
