Key information
Netflix is expanding its gaming library by partnering with Supermassive Games to release The Conjuring: Unspoken. This narrative adventure, set within the cinematic universe of The Conjuring, is scheduled to launch on October 13.
The game features an asymmetric mechanic where the Netflix application displays the environment on a television, while the player's smartphone functions as a tactile controller and survival tool. Players assume the role of demonologist Francesca Noakes to explore the haunted Red Lion Inn.
Mobile devices serve as specialized equipment, including an electromagnetic field reader, an infrared camera for thermal anomalies, and a spirit box for capturing supernatural frequencies. These tools complement a progression system driven by branching dialogue choices.
The story focuses on the Cooper family, who accidentally awaken a demon named Vinea and a spirit named Florrie during a séance. While the game includes familiar elements for fans, it is designed to be accessible to newcomers and will be available to subscribers at no additional cost.
