Key information
Forza Horizon 6 developer Playground Games has responded to its player community following months of silence regarding constructive feedback about the game. In a social media post, the studio acknowledged that it has not been communicating as much as it could be and stated that it hears feedback concerning post-launch updates. The developer added that it is looking into future changes regarding in-game content and communication methods.
Although Forza Horizon 6 earned critical acclaim upon release, including a 10 out of 10 score from IGN, players and content creators such as STEVIO2175, AR12Gaming, HokiHoshi, and Ericship 111 expressed frustration over the live service game's lack of communication and missing features from past titles. Criticisms include mandatory participation in Festival playlists to acquire new cars, many of which are recycled, and the absence of in-game voice chat.
As of October, Microsoft and Playground have not announced a specific release date for a PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6, despite previous indications that it would ship on PS5 this year. Meanwhile, a second Playground team is developing the Fable reboot, which is scheduled for release on Xbox, PC, and PS5 on February 23, 2027.
