Key information
Playground Games has officially announced that the first major expansion for the open-world racing title Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on January 21, 2027. This content will be available simultaneously across all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
While specific details regarding the expansion's title and visual content remain undisclosed, the developer confirmed it will introduce a new location for exploration, additional vehicles to collect, and novel gameplay mechanics. These features align with the studio's broader plans for the two major expansions currently in development for the game.
The expansion is included at no extra cost for owners of the Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition, the Premium Add-ons Bundle, or the Expansions Bundle. Players may also purchase the content separately, though individual pricing has not yet been established by the studio.
Coinciding with the expansion's release, Playground Games will provide a free content update for all players. This launch also aligns with the PlayStation 5 version of the base game, which arrives on January 26, 2027, with early access for Premium Edition purchasers starting five days prior.
