Key information
Former NFL coach Mike Tomlin recently surprised fans by launching a YouTube channel to reveal a Minecraft city he spent 12 years building. Tomlin stepped down as the Pittsburgh Steelers coach in January 2026 after spending 19 seasons with the team.
Tomlin stated that his children originally played the sandbox game when they were in middle school, which sparked his initial curiosity. Lacking the stick control for Survival mode, he focused on Creative Mode because he likes architecture and building.
During his video tour, Tomlin showcased a hotel featuring a fully fleshed-out interior with a lobby, ballroom, pool, and labeled rooms. He also recreated off-campus university housing based on memories from dropping his son Dino off at college.
Tomlin signed off by promising to display more of his city in upcoming videos. His pivot to becoming a Minecraft YouTuber generated significant discussion and disbelief across the internet.
