Key information

Sega has released a new feature breakdown video titled "Training and Tactical Effectiveness" for the upcoming soccer management simulation game, Football Manager 27. Developed alongside Sports Interactive, the title allows players to manage clubs ranging from local semi-pro teams to global powerhouses.

The game introduces a redesigned training interface, now featured as a primary item on the main navigation bar to improve accessibility and reduce required clicks. Players can now utilize a restored schedule duplication function and monitor athlete load levels several weeks into the future. Training sessions have been restructured to focus on match preparation, allowing managers to refine specific elements like pressing intensity and build-up play.

A new "Tactical Effectiveness" system has been implemented, utilizing four gauges to track tactical understanding, player ability, player satisfaction, and upcoming opponent data. Managers must balance these factors against "Tactical Complexity," choosing between quick-fix "plug-and-play" strategies or developing long-term, custom systems. This data also integrates into scout reports to help assess how potential new signings fit into existing formations.

Football Manager 27 is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Mac, and via Netflix. Wishlists are currently open on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for interested players.
