Square Enix has unveiled a new hot springs feature for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, showcased during a presentation at SDCC Málaga. This mechanic allows the party to relax at various locations across the world map, providing players with a permanent increase to their maximum HP.
Beyond the health benefits, these segments offer unique character interactions and special dialogue. A primary draw for many players will be the ability to unlock the specific bathing suit outfits worn by the party members during these hot spring events as permanent character skins.
Gameplay footage confirms that Cloud, Barret, and Cid receive distinct swimwear skins. While Red XIII can also visit the springs, his appearance remains largely unchanged. Conversely, Vincent Valentine retains his standard combat attire, as he chooses not to change for the occasion.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is scheduled for release on April 8, 2027, for PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Director Naoki Hamaguchi noted that the game may exceed 100 hours of playtime, with additional features like automatic leveling available to streamline the experience.
