Key information
An age rating by PEGI briefly revealed new details regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 before the listing was removed from the official website of the European organization. The PEGI 18+ rating was published on October 3, 2026, and its contents were saved and shared by multiple players prior to removal.
According to the leaked text, drug use will feature frequently in GTA 6, allowing players to consume illegal substances directly from their inventory at any time. The description specifically mentions that cocaine can be carried by the character and used during gameplay, marking a more direct approach compared to past franchise titles where substance interaction was restricted to specific environments like bongs inside apartments in GTA 5 and GTA Online.
Furthermore, the PEGI rating details more explicit sexual content, referencing nudity, sexual relations, fetishes, and nightclub interactions where players can pay for private dances and physically interact with dancers. The document also describes heightened violence, noting that players can attack virtually any character in the environment and that specific weapons can cause severe injuries, including detailed decapitations and dismemberments.
Rockstar Games has not yet officially commented on the information that surfaced in the classification. Previous information had pointed to improvements in weather, environmental behavior, and event simulation, while the rating suggests a similar level of detail will be applied to adult content and violence.
