Square Enix announced via the official Final Fantasy VII social media account that a new hot springs feature will be included in the third installment of the trilogy, titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The feature lets players watch character interactions and grants permanent bonuses, including increased max HP, unique outfits, and special cutscenes.
A promotional video under 30 seconds long previews one of the hot springs segments. The clip features Cloud Strife, Barret Wallace, and Red XIII attempting to balance Chocobo-themed rubber ducks on their heads while soaking in waters that have bubbled up from the planet.
Recent social media announcements for the title also teased the return of Gigas as an opponent and indicated that the game will be a 200GB release.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2027, for the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC platforms.
