Key information

CD Projekt Red originally planned to include the Wedingo in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but the creature was ultimately cut from the final game. While the monster never appeared on screen, it is referenced in dialogue between Triss and Geralt.

Based on material leaked between 2013 and 2014, the Wedingo was designed as a giant, human-like forest dweller partially composed of ice. Mechanically, it was immune to steel and the Aard sign, while remaining vulnerable to silver and the Igni sign. It possessed a unique curse that compelled victims to consume fresh meat, eventually transforming them into the species.

Although discarded by CD Projekt, the creature was later implemented by Bethesda in Fallout 76. The Fallout version removes the magical origins found in the original design, instead attributing the creature's existence to radiation-induced mutation and cannibalism. Over time, the species has evolved into various forms, including glowing, scorched, and colossus variants.
