Escape From Tarkov has released its 1.2.0.0 update, bringing major additions to the extraction shooter's PvE mode. The headline feature is the EXFIL Brothers initiative, which connects experienced users with recent accounts to guide them through raids while providing incentives for both participants.

Under this matching framework, experienced participants ranked at level 30 or higher can partner with accounts under seven days old. Both parties gain a 5% experience boost during raids. Additional compensation such as in-game currency, bitcoins, and storage cases are granted when the newcomer hits milestones at levels 10, 20, and 30. Furthermore, veterans obtain extra bonuses tied to the newcomer's purchased game edition.

The patch also incorporates a prestige system featuring six tiers for the PvE mode, ensuring earned achievements persist across wipes. Rewards span custom currency alongside unique variants of the Gamma secure container, the NKVD Finka knife, and the Akula dagger. Additionally, computer-controlled opponents receive adjustments, improving their map distribution around quest zones and altering their targeting priorities.

Players can claim a promotional bundle by entering a specific code through the game launcher's activation menu before Monday, Oct. 19. The package includes tactical gear such as a light machine gun, an assault box, a headset, a combat helmet, a backpack, and a plate carrier.
