Key information
Microsoft has officially confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027. Developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Playground Games and Turn 10, the port will be available in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions, priced at 69.99, 99.99, and 119.99 euros respectively. Players who purchase the Premium edition will gain early access starting January 21, 2027.
The PS5 version includes a Quality Mode targeting 4K at 30 FPS and a Performance Mode at 60 FPS. It supports cross-platform play and cross-save functionality, allowing users to transfer progress between PS5, Xbox, and PC. Additionally, the game will feature cross-platform User Generated Content, granting PlayStation players immediate access to community-created projects.
Xbox and PC users will also receive new content on January 21, 2027, with the release of the game's first paid expansion. This DLC can be accessed via the Premium Edition, the Expansions Bundle, or as a standalone purchase. Microsoft also promised free updates for all players, though specific details remain undisclosed.
These updates aim to address recent community criticism regarding recycled vehicle assets and the suspension of the Forza Monthly program. Physical discs for the PS5 version will be available, and pre-orders for any edition include a pre-configured Ferrari J50.
