Key information
Mattel has announced that the upcoming title He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will now launch on February 4, 2027. Developed by Bitmap Bureau, the game was originally expected in 2026, but the release has been delayed to the following year for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and XBOX Series platforms.
The game is a beat 'em up inspired by the 1983 animated series, featuring pixel-art visuals that pay homage to classic SNES and Megadrive titles. Players can control He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, or Tella across 13 levels to defend Eternia from Skeletor. The experience supports both solo play and local cooperative multiplayer for two players.
Physical editions are available for pre-order, with exclusive versions offered through collaborations with Clear River Games and Limited Run Games. The standard physical edition costs 33,95 euros, while a Collector's Edition is priced at 110,95 euros. The latter includes items such as a metal game case, epoxy pins, a replica Power Sword, an acrylic figure, and a 12-page minicomic.
Reservations for the exclusive collector's edition are scheduled to close on November 22, 2026. Additionally, the collector's package includes a lunchbox-style container and, while supplies last, a Masters of the Universe Origins action figure measuring nearly 14 centimeters.
