Key information

Xbox has officially announced that Forza Horizon 6, previously considered a major title for the platform, is expanding to the PlayStation 5. While initial expectations suggested a release within the current year, the developer confirmed that the game will arrive on Sony's console early next year.

The release schedule for the PlayStation 5 version is split into two tiers. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will gain access through an early access period starting on January 21, 2027. Those opting for the Standard Edition will be able to begin playing on January 26, 2027.

Regarding additional content, the first expansion for Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to be available on the PlayStation 5 version immediately upon its launch. However, the developer has not yet clarified if this expansion will debut earlier on Xbox Series consoles and PC or if it will launch simultaneously across all platforms.

The announcement was accompanied by the first official trailer showcasing gameplay captured directly on the PlayStation 5 hardware. Despite the upcoming multi-platform release, the development team has expressed regret regarding their previous silence concerning the project's status.
