Key information

Bandai Namco has unveiled a new development roadmap for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, marking the game's second anniversary. The title, developed by Spike Chunsoft, will continue to receive updates, including new modes, challenges, and additional characters throughout 2027.

Upcoming free updates include the Tower of Power (Solo) mode arriving this winter for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, allowing players to earn rewards for customizing Ki aura visual effects. In spring 2027, the Tower of Power (Team-up) mode will launch, supporting up to five players in individual matches. Additionally, more demanding versions of existing challenges, such as Mission 100 SP and Survival Mode SP, will be introduced.

A significant addition is the planned cross-play functionality between PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, with a limited beta scheduled for after the summer of 2027. Bandai Namco has not yet provided a definitive release date for this feature.

Content rollout varies by platform. While Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will receive Mission 100, Survival Mode, and the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC in spring 2027, their Tower of Power modes are slated for after the summer. The paid expansion adds 33 characters, four stages, and the Limit Breaker Journey mode.
