Key information
Anticipation for the upcoming release of GTA VI remains high among global players, particularly as the title is slated to launch first on PlayStation 5. While PC users await further news regarding their platform, questions have emerged concerning a potential release on Nintendo's future hardware, the Switch 2.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Nintendo of America President Devon Pritchard addressed inquiries regarding whether the company plans to bring the Rockstar title to the Switch 2. Pritchard noted that Nintendo intends to discuss the possibility of a release with publisher Take-Two and developer Rockstar.
Pritchard clarified that these discussions do not constitute a formal confirmation of the game's arrival on the platform. The company emphasized that there is currently no final announcement, as any potential port would require extensive deliberation between the parties involved.
Several factors remain under consideration, including content suitability, age ratings, and the technical capacity of the Switch 2 to run the game. Consequently, Nintendo has not confirmed if the title will eventually be available on their next-generation console.
