Key information
Developer Abraxaes announced that the surreal and horrific FPS-RPG Divine Frequency is scheduled for an early access launch on October 27, following a trailer revealed on September 25. The project endured significant hardships, most notably the unexpected death of lead writer and lore-master Pablo Artistical Lamprea on April 1, 2025.
Lamprea shaped the game world by collaborating on lore, designing the timeline, and writing dialogue, item descriptions, and computer logs. His passing left the entirety of ACT-2 without his script contributions, nearly halting development while dealing with the tragic loss.
Furthermore, the team faced another severe setback in 2025 when purchased sound libraries were found to contain copyrighted material. The creators had to meticulously review and replace every infringing audio file to prevent liabilities, causing additional delays.
Despite these obstacles, the early access version will contain the first two of three planned acts, representing seventy percent of the total experience. Players can currently wishlist the title and check out its updated demo on Steam.
