Key information
Japanese independent developer Yoshio Games has released a free demo for its male hair removal salon management simulation game, Hair Removal Salon Simulator, on Steam. The trial offers about 30 minutes of gameplay, and save data can be carried over to the full version. The game is also confirmed to participate in the Steam Next Fest taking place from October 19 to 26.
In the game, players take on the role of an owner and technician at a men-only hair removal salon, using medical-grade lasers to remove body hair from heavy-haired male customers. Players must control the laser with a mouse to balance speed and cleanliness while monitoring the customer's pain level, as excessive pain leads to complaints and negative reviews. Successful treatments allow players to recommend aftercare products, earn revenue, upgrade equipment, hire staff, and expand their business.
The title previously gained attention after former Sony Interactive Entertainment executive Shuhei Yoshida played it at events related to the 2026 Tokyo Indie Games and listed it among his recommendations in an interview. The full version of Hair Removal Salon Simulator is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2026. Additionally, the official team permits free streaming, broadcasting, and video monetization of the demo without requiring prior application.
