Key information

DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran recently announced the lead voice cast for the upcoming Mister Miracle animated series. Josh Hutcherson, known for his roles in The Hunger Games and Five Nights at Freddy’s, will voice Scott Free, while Mackenzie Davis, who appeared in Terminator: Dark Fate, is set to portray Big Barda.

The series is based on the 12-issue, Eisner Award-winning comic book written by Tom King and illustrated by Mitch Gerads. King, who also served as a co-creator and executive producer on Lanterns, has personally written all eight episodes for this new adaptation.

Safran expressed high praise for the project, describing the script as dynamite. He highlighted that the source material is deeply meaningful to fans, noting that King frequently hears from readers who claim the original comic book saved their lives.

While the creative team is established, DC has not yet disclosed a specific network or release date for the show. Additionally, the future of the related series Lanterns remains uncertain as executives evaluate potential storylines for a follow-up season.
