Mintrocket has unveiled the final major expansion for its popular fishing and management title, Dave the Diver. Revealed during The Triple-i Initiative, the Subnautica 2 Content Pack is a collaborative effort with Unknown Worlds Entertainment that will be available for free to all existing game owners.
The expansion transports protagonists Dave and Bancho through an interdimensional portal to Proteus, the oceanic moon featured in Subnautica 2. Players will explore new underwater environments, encounter unknown creatures, and gather unique resources unavailable in the Blue Hole.
Gameplay mechanics will integrate these alien ingredients into Bancho's culinary repertoire, allowing for the creation of exotic new sushi recipes. The adventure also introduces new characters and dangerous encounters, including battles against the formidable Leviathan.
Director Jaeho Hwang noted that the team pursued this collaboration due to high player demand. While this marks the final large-scale DLC, Mintrocket indicated that smaller future updates remain a possibility. The content is scheduled for release in early 2027.
