Key information
Control Resonant has received a major update today, introduced as version 1.4.0 by Remedy. The patch officially delivers the previously pledged New Game++ mode alongside a wide assortment of smaller bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
The new update includes several quirky adjustments, such as a mute copyrighted music toggle for the opening credits and a fix for a fast-travel door glitch in the starting area that previously forced custom outfits back into the default postgame attire. It also features performance optimizations aimed at low-end hardware, though the author suspects it may not salvage Steam Deck performance.
Additional interface changes in version 1.4.0 are designed to clarify the game's upgrade systems. The overall build power rating has been relocated to the main Loadout screen rather than remaining in the Stats & Effects submenu, and priority upgrade materials can now be tagged to appear when highlighting map vendor markers.
