Key information
Sega has officially revealed Brazil as the fourth and penultimate location for its upcoming title, Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The announcement was made during the Brasil Game Show, marking a new addition to the game's global campaign following previous reveals of California, Germany, and Japan.
The new map features iconic Brazilian settings, including expansive beaches, vibrant markets, and local commercial districts. Players will encounter unique passengers such as carnival dancers, martial artists, and beachgoers, while navigating environments featuring recognizable local brands like Habib's, Fogo de Chão, and Fast Shop.
Kenji Kanno, the franchise creator, noted that the team was inspired by the contrast between Brazil's dense urban landscapes and its modern life. Development is being handled by the Sega Sapporo Studio, a team largely comprised of developers who have not previously worked on the Crazy Taxi series.
While the fifth and final destination remains unannounced, the game is scheduled for release in 2027. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC platforms.
