Key information
Although Microsoft has not officially announced the Xbox Elite Series 3, a recent data leak within the code of the Xbox Design Lab website has revealed early details about the upcoming controller.
The controller is set to introduce Hall Effect or Tunnel Magnetoresistance analog sticks utilizing magnets to eliminate physical wear and stick drift. Players will reportedly be able to choose between these two stick technologies on the customization site.
Furthermore, the device will feature advanced haptic feedback inspired by the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, complete with multi-level pressure triggers that possess their own vibration.
Additional leaked features include an audio control wheel, swappable faceplates, and selectable d-pad styles. Microsoft plans to offer Base and Complete versions, both potentially featuring the new vibration motor across a total of four product variations.
Given the volume of server data discovered, an official announcement may be imminent. For context, the previous Elite Series 2 Core model was released in 2022.
