Key information
On U.S. time October 6, 2026, NVIDIA released its official latest graphics driver, the GeForce 617.42 Driver. This WHQL-certified version brings support for upcoming new titles and major downloadable content.
The update supports Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which incorporates DLSS 4.5 super resolution, frame generation, and dynamic frame generation, alongside NVIDIA Reflex for latency reduction. Additionally, Star Wars: Galactic Racer utilizes environment lighting enhanced by DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction.
Furthermore, the driver supports the Sim Update 7 major update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which includes DLSS 4.5 support and allows GeForce RTX 50 series users to use dynamic frame generation. NVIDIA tests show that RTX 50 series hardware achieved up to a 6.2x framerate increase under a 6x frame generation setting.
The GeForce 617.42 Driver also resolves an issue from the previous version where Assassin's Creed Shadows could crash to the desktop during extended play sessions. The download package is available for 64-bit Windows 11 and Windows 10.
