During the IGN Fall Fan Fest 2026, a new clip was revealed for the upcoming Shudder crime thriller titled The Cycle. The film features an introduction by star Deborah Ann Woll, who is also recognized for her role as Faye in the upcoming God of War Laufey.
Woll portrays Meg, a forensic anthropologist who discovers her father's body at a crime scene. The narrative shifts from a standard police procedural into a supernatural horror experience. The project is written and directed by Jordan Downey, known for his contribution to the V/H/S/Beyond anthology series.
Horror author Stephen King publicly endorsed the film on X, describing it as a special project. He encouraged audiences to mark their calendars for the release, noting that he rarely promotes horror movies that he did not write himself.
The Cycle is scheduled for release on the Shudder streaming platform on October 23. This reveal is part of the broader IGN Fall Fan Fest, which includes 90 exclusive announcements across various entertainment media.
