Key information
A modder known as M0jso, leading the group Paralympics Productions, attempted to create a native port of Grand Theft Auto V for the Nintendo Switch. The project utilized leaked source code from a 2022 data breach at Rockstar Games and Take-Two to achieve this technical feat on the console's hardware.
The initiative escalated into a legal conflict when M0jso publicly challenged Rockstar Games on X, despite the use of stolen source code constituting copyright infringement. This action violated Rockstar's strict policy against porting franchises to unauthorized platforms, which was further reinforced by a policy update on September 10, 2026.
Take-Two responded swiftly to the provocation. Within three days of the public challenge, the group's Discord server was removed for copyright violations, and the company issued a cease-and-desist order. M0jso subsequently announced the unconditional dissolution of Paralympics Productions and the cancellation of the port, citing gratitude for Take-Two's leniency.
Rockstar maintains a zero-tolerance policy to protect its multi-billion dollar intellectual property. Beyond immediate revenue, the company views the suppression of unauthorized projects as a necessary security measure to protect the architecture and integrity of future titles, including the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI.
