Key information

Capcom is expanding the reach of its Monster Hunter franchise to mobile devices. Monster Hunter Rise is heading to iOS and Android, requiring a Netflix subscription for access. While official announcements are pending, the game is already available for download in the Philippines and Malaysia. This native mobile version follows the success of the title, which has surpassed 20 million units sold since its 2021 debut.

The mobile iteration of Monster Hunter Rise introduces specific gameplay adjustments. Challenge and event missions are now unlocked through story progression rather than as separate DLC. Additionally, a new recovery button automatically selects the most effective item from the inventory based on the hunter's health and status, allowing players to maintain focus on combat. Controls and graphics have been rebuilt to accommodate various mobile and tablet screen formats.

Separately, the free-to-play title Monster Hunter Outlanders is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android on October 29. Developed by TiMi Studio Group, this open-world survival action game features the new world of Aesoland, supporting solo play or teams of up to four. It includes seven classic weapon types and introduces new companions like Palico, Rutaco, and Trillan. The game utilizes gacha mechanics for obtaining adventurers, while player-created hunters and equipment are earned through gameplay.
