Key information

Nexon's MMORPG MapleStory Classic, which launched in late July, released a major update today (15th). The update introduces third job advancements for all five character classes and raises the level cap to Lv.120. This version aims to preserve the nostalgic rhythm of the game prior to the BigBang update.

Players reaching Lv.70 can now undergo trials at the El Nath Elder's House to unlock 12 distinct third job paths, including classes like the Dragon Knight, Priest, and Sniper. Additionally, the update expands the world with the addition of Orbis, El Nath, and the Abandoned Mine, featuring environmental mechanics such as slippery snow and the return of field bosses like the Werewolf.

The update brings back the classic six-player party quest, Goddess's Petal, where teams must solve floor puzzles and defeat the boss Papa Pixie to earn rewards like the Goddess's Bracelet. Players can also travel via ship from Ellinia to Orbis, risking random encounters with the Balrog.

Nexon has also launched the original Halloween event, Snowfield Mask Festival. Players can participate in the event to earn limited-time items, including the Pumpkin Spear and Terror Chainsaw, by defeating the hourly boss Red-Maned White Werewolf. Furthermore, the game introduces a new face accessory equipment slot, allowing players to obtain the Eternal Festival Tree Mask through a three-part story quest.
