Key information
Research into the remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt through wikis and forum discussions reveals a long list of discarded content, including documents, swords, entire narrative arcs, boat racing game modes, and locations.
Among the strangest discarded locations is the Floating Market, which was intended to sit in the Great Sea of the Skellige region, sharing similarities with Esgaroth from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Discovered during a 2014 leak, the location has neither been confirmed nor denied by CD Projekt.
The settlement was to be formed by joined ships, accessible only from the sea, and populated by the Tordarroch clan. Expelled from Undvik by Myrhyff and disliked by the inhabitants of Ard Skellig, the proud clan swore never to set foot on foreign land again while recruiting warriors to reconquer their home.
CD Projekt ultimately bypassed the Floating Market, moving straight to the conclusion where the giant falls and the inhabitants return home. The clan was also omitted from the official art book, and no concepts or mods exist to recreate the location.
