Key information

During the EVO France 2026 tournament held in Nice, Arc System Works officially announced the development of a PlayStation 5 version for the 2D fighting game BLAZBLUE CENTRALFICTION. This title serves as the concluding chapter of the long-running series that originally debuted in arcades in 2008.

The upcoming PlayStation 5 release will feature the implementation of rollback netcode to improve online match stability. Furthermore, the developer confirmed that the game will support cross-platform play with the Steam version. Existing owners of the PlayStation 4 edition will be provided with an upgrade path to the new console version.

The update will expand the game's accessibility by adding French, Italian, German, and Spanish language support for the story mode and other text elements. Additionally, the developers plan to introduce new features to the training mode, which will coincide with the previously announced update that adds Trinity Glassfil to the roster.

While these features have been confirmed, Arc System Works has not yet provided specific details regarding the exact implementation schedule for these updates. Players are encouraged to await further announcements for more information on the release timing and additional content changes.
