Key information
LGD Gaming and 1W Team secured victories during the Last Chance stage, earning the final two berths to complete a six-team field for the BLAST SLAM VIII playoffs and eliminating GamerLegion and OG.
Both qualifying squads fought back after dropping their opening games. GamerLegion initially defeated LGD before LGD answered in game two and closed out the decider following a late teamfight in a 45-minute map. Similarly, 1W rebounded from an opening defeat against OG by taking the second game in 24 minutes and dominating the third map.
The Last Chance stage involved the four Group Stage second seeds. Its victorious teams advanced directly to the upper-bracket quarterfinals, while PARIVISION and Team Spirit previously secured upper-bracket semifinal spots by winning their Seeding Matches.
Scheduled from October 8 to 11 at BLAST Arena Studios in Malta, the double-elimination bracket features best-of-three matches leading up to a best-of-five grand final. Team Yandex will play LGD Gaming, and Aurora Gaming will face 1W Team in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.
