Key information

Brazil’s federal government has initiated measures against online betting, leading organisations LOUD and Keyd Stars to withdraw from Counter-Strike 2. The federal actions, which reportedly covered 506 websites, were aimed at addressing gambling addiction according to The Associated Press.

Keyd Stars previously received backing for its CS2 project from EstrelaBet. Dust2.us indicated that the organisation could no longer maintain a team following the enforcement of these sanctions. Meanwhile, LOUD lost organizational support before its roster ever played a match.

Additional shifts impact sponsors and events across the region. MIBR, Fluxo W7M, and FURIA removed betting sponsors from communications, whereas Legacy and Imperial kept displaying Rainbet and Gamdom. Furthermore, Dust2 Brasil cancelled upcoming BetBoom Storm tournaments.
