Key information
Best Buy has confirmed that select retail locations will host midnight openings to celebrate the upcoming launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The retailer's website currently displays a countdown timer set for November 5.
This remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 title features overhauled graphics designed for modern hardware. Nintendo describes the project as a faithful interpretation, though it includes additional dialogue for characters to enhance their personality.
The midnight events will also offer a new supply of the limited-edition Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 consoles and matching Pro controllers. These items were previously showcased during a Nintendo Direct last month.
Best Buy has not disclosed specific store locations or inventory quantities, noting that stock is limited and regional hours will vary. Customers with existing shipping preorders for the game may modify their orders online to switch to store pickup.
While Best Buy prepares for the launch, price discrepancies exist elsewhere. Amazon and Walmart currently list the game for $59.88, whereas Best Buy lists the title at $69.99.
