Key information
PlatinumGames leadership has teased that the studio wants to continue working with the beloved franchise. Atsushi Inaba stated that although nothing can be officially announced right now, the team holds great enthusiasm for the IP.
In a recent Famitsu interview translated by VGC, Inaba explained that the studio harbors a strong desire to expand her world and further develop the character, asking supporters to look forward to future developments.
However, past entries and studio changes introduce uncertainty. While the 2023 prequel was well-received, the previous mainline entry harmed goodwill due to narrative choices. Additionally, series creator Hideki Kamiya previously mentioned a fourth installment in 2022 before departing the company alongside other key figures during major restructuring.
While future appearances might be limited to crossovers like the upcoming Stellar Blade collaboration, fans continue to hope for a proper continuation of the series.
