The latest trailer for Battlefield 6 Season 5 features a tease for a Dead Space crossover. After showcasing a Las Vegas map featuring the Vegas Strip and Area 51, the trailer cuts to a scene where two Dead Space engineers look up at The Marker, the alien artifact from the survival horror series.
Reddit users have spotted potential Dead Space skins that are rumored to arrive in a Halloween update this October. EA recently released a Dead Space skin in Skate priced at $40, though players were unhappy with both the item and its cost. Battlefield 6 previously held a crossover event with Top Gun.
Series writer Chuck Beaver stated earlier this year that sales were too low for EA to greenlight Dead Space 4, noting that a new title would need to sell over 10 million or even 15 million copies to recoup high production costs. Although the 2023 Dead Space remake by EA-owned Motive Studio received a 9/10 review from IGN, it reportedly did not generate enough business for the publisher to invest in a follow-up.
Battlefield 6 Season 5 launches on October 13, bringing three new maps including the Vegas Strip, alongside six new weapons and two new vehicles.
