Genshin Impact has officially entered the second phase of version 7.1, introducing concurrent rerun banners for the Cryo characters Skirk and Escoffier.
Skirk functions as a five-star Cryo sword-wielder and main DPS who relies on her Elemental Burst and enhanced states from her Elemental Skill. Notably, her gameplay does not require Elemental Energy to charge her Burst. Conversely, Escoffier is a five-star Cryo polearm user serving as a support or sub-DPS. He provides off-field damage, on-field buffs, and party-wide healing, while also offering resistance shredding for Hydro and Cryo elements.
Both characters face significant limitations regarding team composition. Skirk requires teammates to generate Void Rifts and is restricted to Cryo-Hydro teams to maintain effectiveness. Similarly, Escoffier’s resistance shredding capability drops from 55% to 15% if the team includes any members outside the Cryo-Hydro elements.
The author suggests prioritizing Escoffier, noting that Skirk’s damage potential relies heavily on the support provided by the Fontaine chef. While Skirk is a dedicated DPS, Escoffier offers greater versatility as a support unit, allowing for more flexible team building with other Cryo characters.
