Key information

The official Pokemon Information Bureau on X has released development documentation for a unique variant of Pikachu, known as the Pale Pikachu, featured in the game Poko a Pokemon.

Poko a Pokemon, which launched on March 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2, is a sandbox life-simulation title. Players control a Ditto transformed into a human, tasked with restoring a withered town while interacting with unusual Pokemon variants.

The documentation highlights the Pale Pikachu's distinct physical traits, including its pale fur and drooping ears. Designers adjusted the creature's anatomy to feature smaller, angled ears and a shorter, slacker tail. The character also exhibits a unique facial structure with vertical, drooping eyes and a relaxed mouth, accompanied by various emotional expressions and a glowing state.

The title is currently available for the Nintendo Switch 2, retailing at 8,980 yen including tax for both physical and digital editions.
