Xbox CEO Asha Sharma addressed employees during an internal meeting, stating that Microsoft's gaming division has moved past its freefall phase and returned to growth thanks to its internal titles.
Although the year started with declines in player numbers, playtime, and revenue, the company stabilized following various changes and restructurings, bolstered by strong releases from its own studios including Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and World of Warcraft Forever.
Sharma confirmed that the next-generation console, known as Xbox Helix, will not consist of a single machine, but rather a family of devices featuring a flagship console alongside portable formats developed both internally and with partner brands.
Furthermore, Xbox Series X and S remain a major business priority, the Xbox Game Pass service will evolve to offer greater freedom of choice regarding games and content, and PC strategy will involve curating the Battle.net store while easing development pipelines across platforms.
