Embark Studios is intensifying its efforts to combat cheating in Arc Raiders following an October 8 update. The developer acknowledged significant community feedback regarding the need for stricter measures to address the prevalence of illicit software within the game.

The game currently utilizes Denuvo kernel-level protection and Anybrain solutions. Furthermore, the studio is integrating proprietary machine learning models for detection and plans to implement Elytra, a system currently undergoing testing in The Finals, into Arc Raiders in the future.

A major policy shift dictates that first-time offenders will now face permanent bans. Embark is also lowering the threshold for hardware-based sanctions, aiming to extend these penalties to nearly all systems identified as running unauthorized software.

The developer is actively monitoring content creators who showcase cheating in videos. However, the studio clarified that it avoids acting on mere hunches to prevent the risk of issuing wrongful bans to players.
