Key information

Embark Studios, a subsidiary of Nexon, has officially announced a partnership with Chernin Entertainment to bring two of its major multiplayer properties into the realms of film and television. Both ARC Raiders and The Finals have been slated for upcoming cinematic and episodic screen adaptations.

Chernin Entertainment brings established production experience to these upcoming projects, having previously worked on screen projects such as the Netflix film The Last House and the cinematic adaptation of The Backrooms.

Despite the confirmation of the partnership, both companies have kept specific production details under wraps. Representatives have not yet clarified which specific intellectual property will head to theaters versus television, leaving open the possibility of single-medium projects or simultaneous multi-platform releases.

At this stage, no release window has been provided for either the movie or television projects, with officials offering only broad confirmation that the transmedia expansions are planned for sometime in the future.
