EA and Respawn have announced the upcoming Apex Legends Blood Moon event, which is scheduled to run from October 13 through November 2. During this limited-time period, players will enter a darkened version of the Kings Canyon map and must pledge their allegiance to either the Beasts or the Demons to harness supernatural abilities.
The conflict centers on the new Wild Card mode, where participants complete specific challenges to earn Wild Cards. By dealing damage or achieving knockdowns, players can unlock these cards to gain faction-specific advantages. Beast faction members receive melee speed boosts, faster shield cell usage, and temporary critical hit effects, while Demon faction members benefit from increased ability recharge rates and enhanced shield restoration capabilities.
The event introduces environmental hazards, including random fog that obscures vision and hides squads. Players can utilize the returning Revenant Skull Grenade to track enemies in the dark. The map will feature spooky decorations, such as haunted loot bins, glowing Nessies, and pumpkin-themed evolution armor, creating a thematic atmosphere for the duration of the event.
A dedicated Blood Moon store will offer themed cosmetic items, including 80s-inspired werewolf skins for Revenant and demonic-themed outfits for Alter, alongside a new R-99 weapon skin. Players can also purchase the Beast and Demon Hero Remastered bundles to further customize their characters before the event concludes on November 2.
