Key information
Actor Charlie Cox, known for his role in Daredevil, has officially confirmed his participation in an upcoming, yet-to-be-named video game developed by Sega. The actor disclosed his involvement during the New York Comic-Con 2026, noting that he has already completed the recording sessions for the project.
Regarding the production process, Cox shared that the role required approximately 40 hours of dialogue recording. A notable challenge arose during the initial sessions when the development team realized he was English, despite having expected him to perform with an American accent. Consequently, Cox had to adapt his performance to fit the character's American background without prior preparation.
This new project follows Cox's previous work in the gaming industry, specifically his performance as Gustave in the 2025 title Expedition 33. His portrayal in that game was well-received by players and earned him a nomination for Best Performance at the 2025 Game Awards, where he was noted for completing his lines in a single four-hour session.
While Sega has several high-profile titles currently in its release pipeline, such as Persona 6, Alien: Isolation 2, Virtua Fighter Crossroads, and Stranger Than Heaven, the lack of a title for this specific project suggests it is distinct from those already announced. Further details regarding the game remain unavailable at this time.
