Innersloth, the studio behind the popular Among Us, has officially announced that its new title, Among Us Story: On Guard, will launch on February 17, 2027. Departing from the original game's multiplayer formula, this standalone project is a narrative-driven mystery adventure set within the same universe.
Players assume the role of Guard, a crew member responsible for ship security. After a murder occurs, the protagonist becomes a primary suspect. To survive and prove their innocence, players must investigate crimes, gather evidence, and determine who among the crew can be trusted before the impostor strikes again.
The gameplay requires balancing investigative duties with routine ship maintenance. Completing these standard tasks is essential for navigating the environment and uncovering new clues. The narrative explores the mystery of how many impostors are hidden among the crew, with player decisions and discovered secrets leading to three distinct possible endings.
Among Us Story: On Guard is scheduled for release on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and mobile devices. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer showcasing the game's unique approach to the familiar setting.
