Xbox CEO Asha Sharma informed staff that the brand has begun to grow again after extensive restructuring and more than 1,800 job cuts.
According to a transcript reviewed by Windows Central, Sharma stated during a town hall that the company is taking correct steps to reinvest, achieving growth rates exceeding previous metrics by two to three times.
Sharma highlighted recent titles such as Minecraft Dungeons 2, Gears of War: E-Day, and World of Warcraft: Forever, attributing strong market performances to these games.
While acknowledging prior declines in revenue, player engagement, and hours played at the year's outset, Sharma noted that engagement metrics have since stabilized.
Discussing subscription offerings, Sharma noted that previous choices regarding Game Pass caused profitability to plummet, referencing past pricing adjustments and decisions concerning day-one releases.
Furthermore, Sharma mentioned that the next-generation console initiative, Project Helix, remains conceived as a device family, alongside hinting at portable hardware ambitions for mobile gaming.
