Key information

The PC puzzle adventure The Singular Ones, developed by Barcelona-based studio Bearded Pixels, was showcased at SAGA Barcelona Game Fest 2026. Set at the prestigious Corvane Academy, a boarding school for teenagers with special abilities, the game follows a group of students investigating the mysterious Soul Mirror and various supernatural incidents occurring on campus.

The gameplay alternates between visual novel-style narrative segments and logic-based puzzles. Players must drag and drop character and object icons into specific rooms based on constraints provided on the screen. These rules dictate factors such as which characters cannot be adjacent, which items specific individuals must hold, and which items are permitted in certain colored rooms.

While the rules are straightforward, the complexity increases as more characters and items are introduced. Designer Oscar Sahun noted that the puzzles are challenging, even for adults. The reviewer found that while the second stage required significant trial and error, successfully solving the logic puzzles provided a strong sense of accomplishment. The game's difficulty stems from the vast number of potential combinations.

The narrative and puzzles are deeply integrated, with approximately 90 pieces of information regarding character relationships and preferences serving as clues for puzzle solutions. The game is currently in development with a planned release in the first quarter of 2027. It will feature Japanese language support and is currently listed on Steam.
